6" x 7/16" Inch Lacquered Brushed Satin Nickel Flat Door Bolt
This premium UK quality slide action flat door bolt from the Heritage collection in a superior lacquered brushed satin nickel finish is a warm silver finish when compared to standard satin chrome finishes. This modern contemporary bevel edge door bolt is supplied with 3 keep options suitable for all inward and outward opening doors.
The flat bolt body is 152mm long by 36mm wide by 11mm thick, the 24mm slide knob has a maximum projection from the door face of 26mm, the bolt has a maximum throw of 19mm. The standard keep for door pairs and inward opening doors is 26mm long by 36mm wide by 11mm thick, outward opening doors have the option of using the surface mounted flat keep that measures 15mm wide by 50mm long by 1.5mm thick with 35mm screw centres, or the mortice fitted return keep 15mm wide by 50mm long with a right angled return of 9mm with 35mm screw centres.
Flat bolts are typically installed in horizontal positions and can also be used in vertical positions at the bottom of doors, we do not recommend fitting to the top of doors as aggressive rattling of the door can allow the bolt to disengage.
This door bolt is supplied with colour matched raised countersunk slot headed screws for the bolt and standard keep, and Pozidrive countersunk screws for the flat keeps.
PRO TIP: Use the spare hardened steel Pozidrive screws to ensure the pilot holes are the correct size to prevent rounding off the fixing screw heads (especially important in oak and other hardwood doors).
