18" Heavy Duty Cranked Crook & Band Hinge Galvanised

This 18 inch lift off cranked strap hinge is a heavy duty pattern 1056 hinge ideal for use on garage doors, gates, outbuilding doors, and utility doors. The hot spelter dipped galvanised finish will prevent corrosion for many years, and can be over-painted using and etching primer if required.

This cranked hook & band hinge is manufactured from 4.5mm thick by 50mm (2") wide strap with an overall length of 47cm, and approximately 18 inches to the centre of the locating socket. The hook features a 16mm (5/8") diameter gudgeon pin with a projection of 65mm, the back plate is 50mm x 165mm long.

The necked band when mounted on the gudgeon pin will have an overall length of 48cm and will be flush with the mounting position on the gate post or frame. If all the mounting pins are up the gate or door can be lifted off, installing with one pin down will prevent removal.
